The 2024 edition of Mia Photo Fair Milano will change location and move to the Allianz MiCo
Francesca Malgara has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of Mia Photo Fair, the international art fair dedicated to photography in Italy. The 13th edition of the fair is now open for registration and will take place from April 11th to 14th, 2024, at the newly centralised location of Allianz MiCo in Milan.
The upcoming edition of Mia Photo Fair will revolve around the theme “Changing”, addressing a broad range of issues from climate change to civil rights and challenges posed by social, economic, and technological transformations. As explained by Francesca Malgara, the new Artistic Director, “Changing” aims at fearlessly seeking an alternative to the current global crisis that affects personal, political, and economic spheres worldwide.
Mia Photo Fair strives to create an engaging environment in which exhibitors can showcase their work as true exhibitions that activate change. The proposed approach focuses on individual responsibility, respect for the environment and biodiversity, enhancement of feminine values, dialogue between different parties, and community strength.
In 2023, Mia Photo Fair hosted over 122 Italian and international exhibitors, ten specialised publishers, six media partners as well as eight special projects and twelve conferences with five awards presented to more than 500 artists across a vast exhibition area spanned over 7,000 square meters.
