Flavours of the world arrive at the Castello Mediceo with the Street Food Festival Melegnano
From Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September 2024, the picturesque town of Melegnano will be transformed into a lively crossroads of flavours and cultures thanks to the first edition of the ‘Journey and Culture of World Flavours’.
This unique event, organised with passion by the association ‘Le tradizioni del territorio’ (Traditions of the territory), will take place in the evocative setting of the moat of Melegnano’s Castello Mediceo, a place that has witnessed the history and traditions of the city for centuries.
During these three days, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an unprecedented culinary experience, thanks to the presence of some twelve food trucks offering a wide range of gastronomic specialities, ranging from the authentic flavours of Italian cuisine to the exotic and intriguing flavours of international cuisines.
The event will be a riot of flavours and an opportunity to raise awareness and support important causes. Indeed, it will be held in conjunction with the sixth stage of the Alzheimer Fest, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, during which participants will benefit from a 5% discount on all culinary offers.
To further enrich the experience, a stage will be set up to host a series of musical performances designed to entertain and engage audiences of all ages.
On Friday 20th September at 9.30pm, the Shary Band will revive the emotions of the 70s, 80s and 90s with a repertoire of music that marked entire generations.
On Saturday 21st September, also at 9.30pm, it will be the turn of an emotional tribute to Vasco Rossi, which will have fans of the famous Italian rocker singing their hearts out.
In addition, there will be DJ sets and baby dance moments throughout the event, designed to get young and old dancing and having fun.
For the little ones, there will be a children’s area organised by GioAcademy, where children will be able to have fun in safety with rides and attractions specially designed for them. This event promises to be an unforgettable experience, capable of combining the pleasure of good food with moments of entertainment and reflection, all immersed in an atmosphere of celebration and sharing.
